Maja Mihić studied at the Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade, where she obtained her bachelor and master degree in Piano performance. In year 2016, she finished her doctoral studies in piano performance focusing mainly on the music of the french impressionists.

Maja Mihić enjoys a varied career as a solo performer, chamber musician and piano accompanist. She has performed in Rome, Ostuni (Italy), Vienna (Austria), Prague (Czech Republic), Skopje (Macedonia), Zagreb (Croatia), Ljubljana (Slovenia) and has appeared at numerous music festivals in Serbia (Belgrade, Niš, Novi Kneževac, Kragujevac, Novi Sad)

 She won numerous first prizes, mostly as a member of a piano duo: International competition for pianists in Ostuni, Italy, the International competition “Petar Konjović” in Belgrade, Serbia, the “Roma” piano competition in Italy. She was a semifinalist of the TIM competition (Torneo Internationale di Musica). As a member of a chamber ensemble, she won the prize “Concert of the Year”, given by “Muzika klasika” magazine in the year 2012.

Since year 2011, Maja Mihić has developed a special interest for contemporary music. Together with violinist Madlen Stokić Vasiljević and clarinetist Miloš Nikolić, she founded a trio named “Pokret” (mouvement, motion), dedicated to contemporary music. Since 2013, Maja Mihić has given numerous recitals with the renowned Serbian cellist, Nemanja Stanković. She is also a member of the trio Femina (oboe, violin, piano) with Ivana Dakić and Madlen Stokić.
